7 Easy Tips For Flawless Skin

By  |

Every woman’s dream is to have flawless skin akin to what models on billboards and in magazines have. Flawless skin is a huge confidence booster as you’ll be everyone’s envy. But hey, it’s very possible for this dream to become a reality without having to use filters on your Instagram pictures. Sounds too good to be true?

Here are few tips

GET YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP

As you snooze, your body boosts blood flow to the skin which means you wake to a healthy glow. Sleep deprivation causes a decrease in blood flow to the skin, hence a complexion that looks lifeless. Dark circles under the eyes are also a reflection that you didn’t get enough sleep. Sleep has very many remarkable benefits which include; Brighter eyes, a flawless skin, healthier and fuller hair, a happier and healthier appearance. So make it a point to have at least 7-9 quality hours of sleep each night.

EAT HEALTHY

Having healthy foods to eat will get you that flawless skin as well as a great body. Some of the foods include: Salmon, sweet potatoes, carrots, watermelons, mangoes, vitamin C rich foods like grape fruits and oranges, peppers, dark chocolate, nuts and almonds as well. Take some sea food once in a while like oysters. Please cut down your intake of sugars as they increase the risk of having a lifeless skin which might lead to dark patches. You will definitely find it hard to avoid a piece of cake, a cookie every now and then, but try as much as you can.

WASH YOUR FACE BEFORE GOING BACK TO BED

Endeavor to wash your face every night before bed. This needs to be a must even if you don’t wear make-up. This is because washing your face removes not only make up, but the dirt and dust that your face accumulated throughout the day. And so, you need to get rid of all this. Not washing your face will make your pores get clogs and that can lead to large pores, acne, rashes and irritated skin. That can also make your skin feel rough and uneven.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER

The skin is an organ, and just like any other part of the body, your skin is made of cells. And skin cells are made up of water. If your skin is not getting the sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will present itself by turning your skin dry, tight and flaky. Dry skin is more prone to wrinkling. We lose a lot of water every day and so we need to replace it somehow. Therefore, drink more water, at least 8 glasses a day as this will help the skin to get rid of toxins, hence a more radiant and glowing skin.

EXERCISE

What most of us don’t realize is that exercising can actually help your skin look and stay healthy. You can exercise to help improve the health of your skin to avoid acne, wrinkles, dull skin and also have better sleep at night. Going to the gym is not the only form of exercise as you can have light exercises at home like walking up and down the stairs, jogging in place, rope skipping and push-ups from a kneeling position.

WEAR LESS MAKE UP

Makeup helps outline your beautiful features, including those that you don’t know you have. But minimize the use of make up because it fills your pores with silicon resulting in open pores that never shut and this is not good at all. It’s also possible that you will develop allergic reactions from using all this make up on a daily basis. So consider having a break from make-up even just for a couple of days a week.

BE GENTLE TO THE SKIN

Don’t prick pimples or scratch your skin. You will create permanent scars and dark spots. Should you have a scrub, let it be as gentle as possible.
