Bobbin Case Clothing delivered a remarkable opening showcase at Kigali Fashion Week titled MZIZI, an exploration of African roots, resilience, and sustainability through sculptural fashion. The installation features hand-stitched jute layered with indigenous Ugandan barkcloth (Olubugo), transforming raw and repurposed materials into wearable art.
With its organic folds, textured surfaces, and visible stitching, the collection symbolizes strength, identity, and the beauty of imperfection. It stands as a celebration of African craftsmanship and cultural heritage, reimagined through a contemporary design lens.
