Meet Shawn Maine, Our Man Crush Monday

Any ardent Blankets and Wine event goer couldn’t have missed Shawn Maine’s brittle voice blaring through the speakers at the last Blankets and Wine event in Kampala at the Indian Association Grounds.

Casually dressed in a short sleeved print shirt tucked into teal pants worn without a belt, Shawn Maine (real name, Shawn Bisangwa) sprung onto the stage and put on a spectacular show.

The 20 year old Afro fusion artiste started making music in 2018 just after graduating from Aga Khan High School.

He fuses Pop, soul and RnB to create his own unique sound. He looks up to Sam Smith, John Legend and Summer Walker as his musical inspirations.

Other than Blankets and Wine, he has also performed at the
Wizkid Live in Kampala Concert , Anne Kansiime’s first Pollination Night at Kubby’s Bar and also did a Sofar Sounds Kampala event.
