Doreen & Marlone’s Wedding Was An Epic Celebration of Love

Doreen Muganwa and Marlone Muwonge’s love story, just like all fairytales, begins with a lot of rejection. The former Miss Nkumba gave the businessman a whole lot of hard time. “Doreen you are beautiful I want to be your friend – no bad intentions, ” Marlone recalls the first time he talked to Doreen. Her response was rather harsh – she said she wasn’t ready to make friends with strange men. This went on for a while although he was adamant to surrender.

On 1st October, 2022, the couple tied the knot in a colourful ceremony that was wrapped with a magic fireworks moment and an epic lineup of entertainers. They said their vows at Trinity Redemption Evangelical Church in Rubaga in front of close friends and family, before holding a lavish bash at Munyonyo Spring Gardens.

The event was preceded by an intimate traditional wedding event held at Doreen’s family home. “Everyone was smart, the decor was exactly what we had expected, and we were surrounded by love,” Doreen remembers.

Planning the wedding

We planned the event in exactly a month, a feat we didn’t think we would pull off. But thanks to our dedicated team of service providers, it all panned exactly how we wanted it. It was an event filled with colour and love, everyone was happy – that’s all that mattered to us.

Gown

From when I was a child, I’ve always loved the Cinderella silhoutte. My dream was to wear such a gown on my wedding day. Working with Dyna Vence to make this dream come to life was such a joy. She’s such a great spirit! For my changing gown, also by Dyna Vence, I wore something uncomplicated – fringe with a bit of crystal.
