Meeting

We met 4 years ago in Entebbe during my sister’s son’s birthday party. We connected instantly and never stopped talking.

Engagement

When we met, we instantly became friends. During our courtship, we got to know our likes and preferences. We never kept a thing away from each. Her transparency, being a practicing Muslim and the power she used to let me completely open to her is what attracted me to her even more. That, to me, is the real beauty, not what we see on the outside.

Last year in September I proposed to her. She, however, is very meticulous even with her decisions. I got her response in December, and fortunately for me, it was a ‘Yes’. It was her birthday and I had gone to pick her up from the airport. Something about Entebbe; she and I met there, and also she agreed to do this thing called life with me there as well.

Planning the wedding

It was an exhilarating experience planning a wedding, especially in the current economy. But, we thank Allah for blessing the union right from the start because we managed to put it all together without a hitch. The trick has been; determination, dedication and the great relationship we have.
