From School Mates to Soulmates – Osbert & Cathy’s Traditional Wedding Shoot Was a Beautiful Display of Love!

By  |

Today is another beautiful day to appreciate the prevailing power of love. How it keeps blooming no matter how long it takes never ceases to amaze us. Osbert and Cathy are on their forever journey and their sweet love goes way back to high school.

My name is Osbert. My fiancée’s name is Cathy. I’m a Cinematographer and she is a Makeup artist. We met in high school.

Introduction & Planning:

Our traditional wedding was held on the 23rd of August 2023 in Wakiso-Kikandwa. Planning for our intro was so easy since both of us are service providers. We knew the exact service providers that would make our day colorful. Our color theme was burnt orange and brown so for it to come out the way we wanted it, we had to choose colors that won’t collide with the decor.

Bride’s Outfits: Mukyala Joyce Ssonko of Joyce Sonko Textiles was the one who made the bride’s outfits. We chose her because of her expertise, and she has nice bridal outfits, and on top of that, she is our friend.

For the Groom outfits (suit & kanzu) were done by David Kabenge of David Kabenge. He is also our friend and our fashion stylist. The Rwandese tradition outfit was from Brenda of Bend the trend collections.
