Ugandan designer Joan Jade is set to showcase her work at this year’s Africa Fashion Week London 2026. The announcement comes as the event continues to highlight designers from across Africa and the diaspora on an international stage.
This year’s edition is in partnership with the British Council through its Creative DNA Programme. As part of the lead-up to the live shows, the British Council offices in Stratford will host three days of activities focused on supporting and guiding selected designers.
The programme is designed to help designers grow beyond creativity alone by giving them access to industry knowledge, global markets, and production networks. It aims to close the gap many African designers face and help them build stronger and more sustainable fashion businesses.
