South African Brand Sindiso Khumalo creates eye-catching collections with colorful designs and bold patterns. Using an array of different inspirations, from her ethnic heritage to empowerment, Sindiso creates striking designs. All designs in her collections are hand-drawn using water colous and collage to materialize the different patterns. Khumalo also works with local NGOs to ensure the development of the handmade textiles to create her collections.
The brand covers all aspects a modern and contemporary fashion label should have. They create uniquely stunning pieces that have been published in Vogue UK, Marie Claire Magazine as well as many more. The brand promises ethical and sustainable productions of garments – something we hope to see more in the fashion industry.
For their S/S ’22 Collection dubbed ‘Jagger’, Sindiso Khumalo emanates vibrance. The collection has many pieces, from dresses to trousers to tops. This collection brings a mélange of textile textures as well as changing patterns to the table. The patterns on the textiles change from being organic fluid shapes on shiny fabric to stripes on a more firm and coarse fabric.
Based on the Jagger African Studies library that burned down in April of last year, the collection is a homage to the treasures of African literature that were lost.
