Shalom Aburu is Miss Uganda North America 2018!

Shalom Aburu, from Seattle, Washington was last evening crowned Miss Uganda North America 2018 at a glamorous event held in Washington DC during UNAA Causes convention.

The theme of the pageant was ‘Our Voices Elevated’, in honor of women empowerment movements that have played a huge role of shedding light on issues that affect women globally. These include but not limited to; inequality, domestic violence, lack of access to education, and sexual harassment.
