Seam Line Atelier Sends a Strong Message About Education with This Upcycled Sustainable Collection
Seamline Atelier is a collective fashion brand born out of the walls of Record Fashion School, an incubator for fashion designers. Made up of former students and classmates, it is a team effort of creatives trying to make a difference through fashion. They are intent on using fashion to send strong messages with their collections and this is evident with their most recent collection dubbed “Ssuubi”.
About the collection:
Featuring upcycled school uniforms, ties, Geometrical sets, sweaters and Socks, Ssuubi speaks about the value of education in the new world of joblessness in which, according to the World Bank, only 5% of graduates have a hope of getting a job having spent 20 years preparing for formal employment. Ssuubi collection is not just about the future of education, it’s about the future of the new generation of African youth braving the world of economic and social uncertainties.
