Weren’t born rich is a social movement fashion brand with the aim of providing a motivational platform for young people. As well as committing to different community projects, such as raising awareness of Sickle Cell Disease and supporting those that are affected by it.
The brand was founded by Nabila Nakigozi, a young girl with big dreams. Born in Kampala Uganda and raised in London UK. Nabila suffers from Sickle Cell Anaemia, a lifelong, disabling and deadly disease that predominantly affects black people. She along with the co-founder who suffers from the same condition wanted a creative outlet that could give them and other young people freedom, empowerment and pride where opportunities are lacking.
