Philips Clinton Ihankonye Wins ‘The Next Fitness Supermodel Search’

The search for the continent’s next fitness modelling sensation is done, and we have a winner. After a couple of weeks scouting online, a full month voting and lots of back and forth emails from a team spread across Africa (Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda), we’re excited to announce that Nigeria’s Philips Clinton Ihankoye emerged winner of this model search.

Last year in November, Enrole Model Management Nigeria and Satisfashion UG embarked on an online model search dubbed ‘The Next Fitness Supermodel search‘ to offer a two-year modelling contract to one unsigned African fitness model. The model had to meet international standards and also have a certain level of appeal online.

“The search has been such an amazing experience. I can’t describe how impressed I am about the response it has got across Africa. I’d like to congratulate Philips, and welcome him to Enrole, ” Ell Adamz, founder and C.E.O. of Enrole Model Management shared in a statement.

“We received an overwhelming number of responses, which to me is testimony that Africa has huge potential in terms of modelling talent,” said Hassan Ssentongo, Creative Director of Satisfashion UG.

Ihankoye will sign a two-year contract with the agency, and take a number of steps closer to realising his supermodel dreams.

“We’ll offer him a two-year contract immediately and see what we can do within our power to get him into the big fashion markets across the world,” Adamz added.

“I’m excited about this. I can’t wait to utilize this opportunity to show the world my full potential as a model,” Ihankonye shared upon receipt of the exciting news.

This might be the end of this search, but it’s the just beginning of an endless flow of opportunities for models across Africa. These include another model search to be unveiled later in the year called ‘Africa’s Next Model Search‘ which will be open to both male and female models. Details will be divulged when the time is right.
