Meet the African Queens Competing for the Miss World 2026 Crown

Africa is well represented at the 2026 Miss World competition, with queens from across the continent in Vietnam to compete for the coveted crown. From Uganda to Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi and beyond, these African representatives are ready to showcase their beauty, purpose and stories on the global stage.

🇧🇼 Botswana — Ruth Thomas

Ruth is a Beauty Advisor from Botswana with a Certificate in Clothing and Textile. She is passionate about fashion design, makeup artistry, poetry and cultural dance, and supports vulnerable women through community outreach. She hopes to establish an organization promoting inclusive beauty, adopt a school in her home village of Masunga, and pursue acting.

🇨🇲 Cameroon — Raissa Noura Njikam

Raissa is an entrepreneur, humanitarian and law student from Yaoundé. She founded and leads the NOUNJI Foundation, which supports women and young people affected by violence. She has also organized vocational training and campaigns against gender-based violence.

🇨🇮 Côte d’Ivoire — Fatima Koné

Fatima is a 21-year-old Master’s student in Professional Communication with a bachelor’s degree in international studies. She represented the Hambol region and has focused on youth empowerment, education, cultural heritage and community service.

🇬🇶 Equatorial Guinea — María de los Ángeles Ndong Asangono

María is studying Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Science while working as a shop assistant. She is passionate about education, personal growth and family, and enjoys Pilates, barre, handball, fashion and reading.

🇪🇷 Eritrea — Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin

Snit is Eritrea’s first Miss World representative. She is a neuroscientist and educator, having earned a degree in Neuroscience from George Mason University and worked as a Montessori preschool teacher in the United States. She speaks Tigrinya, Italian, English, Amharic and French.

🇪🇹 Ethiopia — Ruth Yirgalem Weldesilassie

Ruth is a Culture Ambassador of Ethiopia, marketer, coffee Q grader, makeup artist and founder of Crown of TAYTU. With a degree in Marketing Management, she advocates for women and young people through education, entrepreneurship and community service.

🇬🇭 Ghana — Rumzia Sule

Rumzia is a flight attendant, communications professional and MBA student with a background in public relations and diplomatic administration. Through Project Inspire Ghana, she mentors young people and promotes entrepreneurship. Her ambition is to become an ambassador.

🇬🇳 Guinea — Saran Keita

Saran is a cultural and event entrepreneur with a degree in International Relations. She is passionate about Guinean culture, humanitarian work, traditional dance and creative expression. She hopes to enter politics and advocate for women and future generations.

🇬🇼 Guinea-Bissau — Hernania Nantote

Hernânia Nantote is a real estate consultant born in Guinea-Bissau and credits her close-knit family, including her five sisters and cousins, as her greatest source of inspiration. During her teenage years, she became involved with the Rede de Crianças e Jovens Jornalistas (RCJJ), where she developed a strong sense of leadership and social responsibility.

🇰🇪 Kenya — Trizah Muhenje Akala

Trizah is a Tourism Management graduate working in travel marketing and event management. She advocates for education, women’s empowerment and child welfare, while also enjoying cultural dance, storytelling, travel and community work.

🇲🇼 Malawi — Ireen Navicha

Ireen is a community advocate, model and student studying Indigenous Knowledge Systems. She is passionate about education, youth leadership and opportunities for girls and underserved communities. She hopes to enter politics and eventually become President of Malawi.

🇲🇦 Morocco — Chirihan Chergui

Chirihan is a technology entrepreneur with a Master’s degree in Software Engineering. She is passionate about innovation, Moroccan culture and mentoring young people. Inspired by attending NASA’s Space Camp as a teenager, she hopes to use technology and entrepreneurship to create opportunities for young people, particularly girls.

🇲🇿 Mozambique — Arcenia Quehá

Arcénia Quehá will represent Mozambique for the first time in Miss World history. Originally from Sofala Province, Arcénia is a model who rose to national prominence after winning the the Mozambique Beauty Award, held on January 31, 2025. Representing Sofala, she received a Mazda Verisa as a prize.

🇳🇦 Namibia — Elly Aron

Elly is a Software Development student who hopes to pursue further studies in Data Analytics and Psychology. She is interested in public speaking, fashion, wellness, spoken-word poetry and human behaviour, and dreams of becoming a remote software engineer.

🇳🇬 Nigeria — Soye Karibi-George

Soye is a communications professional, voice-over artist and professional model. She is passionate about storytelling, inclusion, mentoring young people and community service. Her goal is to become a globally recognized communications strategist, model and advocate.

🇸🇳 Senegal — Fatoumata Diop

Fatoumata is a marketing strategist, writer and storyteller with a background in international management and marketing. She published her first book at 22 and is passionate about mental-health conversations. She hopes to build a global organization improving mental-health support across Africa.

🇸🇱 Sierra Leone — Maryam Lorba Konneh

🇿🇦 South Africa — Romanda Hombir

Romanda is an audiologist who speaks English, Siswati, IsiZulu, Afrikaans and basic South African Sign Language. Her profile emphasizes her purpose of making a positive difference in the lives of the people she encounters.

🇸🇸 South Sudan — Nyandeng Kerubino Kuanyin Bol

Nyandeng is a Medical Sales professional with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Communication Studies. She is pursuing a Master’s in Immigration Law and hopes to become the CEO of a major pharmaceutical company while creating opportunities for people in her country.

🇸🇴 Somalia — Foziya Abdullahi Garad

Foziya is an aspiring pilot and student passionate about aviation and youth empowerment. She advocates for education for displaced children and is inspired by women pilots. She also enjoys music, dance and acting.

🇹🇿 Tanzania — Latricia Ian Sawe

Latricia is a model, brand ambassador and social advocate studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance. She advocates for inclusive education and autism awareness and supports children with special needs and their families.

🇺🇬 Uganda — Trivia Elle Muhoza

Trivia is an entrepreneur, aviator and philanthropist who runs her own beauty and skincare brand. She holds a diploma in Aviation and is passionate about supporting vulnerable children and raising awareness about gender-based violence.

🇿🇲 Zambia — Dr Adah Mushibi

Dr Adah is a medical doctor who volunteers at the University Teaching Hospital and also works as a Chinese-language interpreter. She hopes to become a surgeon and a global advocate for inclusive healthcare, particularly for people living with disabilities.

🇿🇼 Zimbabwe — Brunette Makanyiso

Brunette is a 26-year-old pharmacist and graduate of Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University in Russia. She is involved in community development through the BG Foundation, which focuses on education, youth empowerment and vulnerable children.
