We take a look at the simple and yet youthful Dior Fall Men’s Wear collection, a Kim Jones celebration for his 75th anniversary at the fashion house. According to Vogue, fashion designer Kim Jones collaborated with the ghost of Christian Dior to put the archive genetics that naturally underpins any collection he does in proverbial neon lights.
Vogue highlighted, “Actually, “one-man show” isn’t entirely accurate. As a tribute to the green-fingered founder, you could say Jones collaborated with the ghost of Christian Dior himself, putting in proverbial neon lights the archive genetics that naturally underpin any collection he does.”
And further describing the collection as straightforward and something that would resonate with a contemporary male customer, from its bar jacket to the wrap coats constructed like men’s blazers with white stitching that looks almost frayed, it had a deconstructed character that we often don’t see with Dior. And a collection that is purely Kim Jones.
