Recent updates to Instagram suggest that users may now be able to rearrange photos or videos in a carousel even after posting. By using the Edit option, you can long-press on a slide and drag it to a new position without deleting the post. This feature also allows you to remove slides while keeping your original likes and comments.
However, this feature is still rolling out and may not be available to everyone yet. To try it, open your post, tap the three-dot menu, select Edit, then drag the image to your preferred position and tap Done. Make sure your app is updated, because some users may not see this option until the update reaches their device.
