Loving mother,

You’re just special to me but you are a package, that is; a role model, sister, tutor, best friend, advisor and problem solver. I just want to thank God for you.

I admire you in all aspects, the strength you have in low life situations. The way you balance work and home duties, you’re always there for me and my siblings. You make sure we’re not lacking even when you far from us.
The prayers and encouraging words to keep me going, the phone calls and the songs you sing for me on the phone when I feel like giving up give me hope and enormous smiles when am down. What more could I ask for?
I pray God gives you more days on earth to see what the lady you have raised turns into. I won’t disappoint you because you have taught me to be independent, how to save, you boosted my self-esteem right from an early age and taught me to pray in all situations. The iron hand you used on me when I was young shaped me into the person I am today even when I thought you never liked me when you spanked me.
I now appreciate those beatings. As the saying goes “spare the rod and spoil the child” I thank God you didn’t spare me. The chores I did by force. Waking up early that I dreaded. The designer that would plait my hair to make me look good. Thank you, mum, for not giving up on me and for the unconditional love. You inspire me with your generosity and kindness. Happy mother’s day to the best mum in the world.
