“I Believe a Lady Can’t Control Me Because I’m Wiser Than That”- A Pass on Women, Music, Fashion, and Being Cool

Alexander Bagonza AKA A Pass is a reggae/dancehall sensation. A Pass has a unique element that many Ugandan singers lack. He is cool and shoots videos with great fashion. Here he talks to us about his inspirations and his love for intelligent women.

What inspires your creative genius?
What inspires my genius are instrumentals. If I feel an instrumental and its flow that just dictates what I’m going to create on it.

Do you think you are cool? It is never easy to make it to the countdowns.
I don’t think I’m cool. I think I’m blessed by the almighty because it is hard to write and produce so many songs and get all of them onto the countdowns. That is luck my friend.

What fashion trends do you think women should trash immediately?
I don’t discriminate against anyone or any trend. Any trend can be good if you feel it looks good on you. However, women should understand which trends work for which society. Other than that, I’m okay with whatever they choose to wear.

I forgot to ask something really important. A pass. Why A pass? At some point I thought it meant making passes on women.
Interesting. The name is A Pass because I’m called Alexander. The ‘Pass’ comes from Percy my nick name. The name is A Pass!

So A pass what kind of women do you date? What fascinates you most about women?
A pass dates intelligent and beautiful ladies. That is my choice in women.

There’s a theory that such women are bossy and controlling.
I believe a lady can’t control me because I’m wiser than that. I am A pass. I am Alexander and the names leader. I guess this explains it all.
