5 Things to Know About Hannah Karema Miss Uganda 2023

Up against 20 other intelligent young ladies, Hannah Karema Tumukunde, was crowned as Miss Uganda during a glamorous gala event held at UMA Multipurpose Hall. The vacist from Nakaseske district couldn’t hold back tears of joy as she received the highly coveted crown from former Miss Uganda Elizabeth Bagaya. Hannah belonged to the Central Region pool and came up strongest, ahead of her close competitors Ademun Whitney Martha and Premah Agwang who finished 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.

Mitch Egwang and Anita Fabiola were the emcees for the day while Fenon events were behind the production including stage, sound and lighting and it is on this event that Brenda Nanyonjo, the proprietor of the pageant called on government to support the foundation.

Karema takes over from Elizabeth Bagaya who succeeded Oliver Nakakande who didn’t finish her reign.

For winning this competition, Karema received a Toyota Wish car and an opportunity to represent Uganda at the Miss World contest.

She also earned a slot to represent Uganda in the Miss Elite pageant happening later this year in Egypt after she also won Miss Popularity. The 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up also won a scholarship to Uganda’s Aviation Academy.
