31 Days of Ugandan Fashion: Kwesh, a Brand That Has Thrived On Minimalism

Kwesh is a ready-to-wear and bespoke apparel brand that caters to both men and men. Their uniqueness lies in the ability to combine contemporary African-inspired design with skillfully crafted clothing. This, coupled with the love for minimalism has helped them create a Ugandan brand that has global appeal. Their clothes are available in stores across East Africa, and plans of tapping into the global market are in the works.

Launched in 2012, the brand has grown to now offer bridal. Juliana Nasasira, the creative director and founder of the brand wore a custom-made gown from the brand during her wedding early this year.

This week, Nasasira was also announced as one of the nominees in the fashion category of the 2018 Young Achievers Awards.
