She Turned Me Down Every Time For Two Years But I Didn’t Give up – Arnold & Zalma

Meet Mutebi Arnold Jonathan, an IT technician and Muhidin Zalma, who prove that rejection is just a minor bump on your road to finding true lover. Here is their story.

We met in 2015 at a birthday drink up. Honestly when she walked into the room I froze for a minute. At that moment I didn’t know how to confess to her, I had never even spoken her. Anyway, later that evening I gathered some confidence, walked up to her and shot my shot. She turned me down! It hurt!! However, I didn’t give up. I kept trying for the next two years, and I was being turned down at every attempt.

In 2017 we met again at another friend’s birthday party and there she was looking more beautiful than ever. It was a totally different reaction that day though! We kept on staring at each other the whole time and laughing from a distance! When I got a chance to get close to her that evening, I knew I had to give it a shot once again. We spent the rest of the evening together. It’s still one of the best days of my life. That’s why we celebrate it every year. We’re not engaged yet, but I visited her parents in 2018. We also have a beautiful daughter!
