For a shoe designer, Christian Louboutin doesn’t care very much about women’s feet. In an interview with WWD last year he said he always designs his shoes with men in mind, and totally understands a dude saying, “Darling, we’re having dinner together tonight, so do you mind to change?”
In his new calendar, the designer offers 12 sets of amputated limbs as models, each lovingly wrapped in expensive tissue and presented inside a box. Weirdly the most surprising thing is that it doesn’t really appear shocking at all, with violence against women being a fashion advertising troupe more tired than Lita platforms.
The main question is can you buy these shoes because of them appearing on amputated limbs? Personally I find it scary and creepy.
