Vinka finally took centre stage for her highly anticipated maiden concert, Live and Loud, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on Friday, August 21, and her fans turned out in huge numbers to make the night one to remember.
The excitement was clear hours before the concert officially kicked off, with fans arriving as early as 1 PM to secure their spots. They came out in droves, proving just how much anticipation had built around Vinka’s first-ever major concert.
On stage, Vinka delivered an energetic performance filled with live singing, dance and non-stop entertainment. She performed her biggest hits with the kind of energy fans have come to expect from her, while the audience sang and danced along throughout the night. All the vocals were performed live, and by the end of the show, fans were left fully satisfied.
Fashion was also a major part of the spectacle. Vinka had three outfit changes; each bringing a different look and feel to the stage. The outfits were designed by Ugandan couturier Beryl Qouture, adding a strong local fashion touch to the concert.
One of the biggest highlights of the night was the incredible number of guest appearances. Vinka brought together artists she has collaborated with throughout her music career, making it one of the most star-studded line-ups of guest appearances ever seen at a maiden concert in Uganda. Each appearance brought fresh excitement and gave fans the chance to see some of their favourite collaborations performed live.
