Weren’t Born Rich Founder, Nabila Nakigozi Is Contesting For Miss Uganda UK 2019
At 18 years old, Nakigozi is the founder & CEO of Weren’t Born Rich, a community interest company focused on empowering the youth and creating awareness on social issues that affect them. Their flagship product is a clothing line with the same name.
Although she suffers from sickle cell anemia, this is not stopping her from dreaming and realising those dreams. WBR offers stylish jackets, T-shirts, tracksuits and bags, all of excellent quality. Proceeds from their sales are channeled into sickle cell awareness activities such as community outreaches & drives in London and Uganda. She’s currently pursuing a diploma in business studies. She recently developed interest in public speaking, which she does to raise sickle cell awareness.
Away from work, she is a hijabista, which means ‘hijab wearing fashionista’. She embraces the idea that you can be stylish and modest.
Nakigozi is one of the contestants of this year’s edition of Miss Uganda UK.
“I’m very passionate about creating and always having new ideas, having a creative mindset is the reason for my brand hence I treasure being considered a creative,” she said about her passions.
