Do you agree that a model used by Victoria Beckham in her latest advertising campaign is setting dangerous body image standards for young women?
Victoria Beckham, 43, just came under a barrage of criticism from enraged fans who were outraged about a new sunglass campaign that cost £265, that used a model they described as “unhealthily skinny and gaunt”. While promoting her new eyewear collection, the former spice girl took to Twitter to share a photo of a model rocking some vintage frames.
Victoria Beckham pledged not to use skinny models in any of her campaigns as she was quoted saying ” skinny models aside” in one of her interviews- then she used this model to sell her merchandise this week. This has caused a lot of criticism from people saying Victoria does not empower women when she sells overpriced clothing only the rich can afford and only the skinny can wear. She was later on described as a shameless and dangerous hypocrite by various people.
