‘Veronica’s Wish’ is Hitting Cinemas This February: Here’s What You Need To Know

| Veronica’s Wish, a nine UFF award winning film which premiered on 17th November 2018 with a full house at Serena Hotel, and considered the most buzzed about Ugandan movie of 2018 is hitting cinemas next month. The film tells the story of Michael and Veronica, a couple who are engaged and about to get married. They are basically living the life of their dreams. However their lives take a twist when Veronica is hit by a mysterious illness days to their wedding. Nisha Kalema plays Veronica while Mushema Housen plays Michael, Veronicas’ boyfriend who is at the cross roads of choosing between supporting his fiance and moving on with his life without her. Symon Kalema plays Frank, Michael’s best friend who is his wing man and confidant. Malaika Nnyanzi plays Veronica’s best friend who stands by her through it all. The film is credited as being one of the best produced Ugandan films yet. Written and produced by Nisha Kalema, an award recipient of Best actress, script writer and producer at the Uganda Film Festival 2018, 2015 best actress at the Uganda Film Festival for her role as the orphan Amelia in the movie FREEDOM (2016), for which she also wrote. Veronica’s Wish is now hitting the cinema this February with screenings on 8th, 15th and 22nd at Century Cinemax Acacia Mall.
