Tyla Reps as the Only African Star at the 2026 Met Gala

Tyla wore custom Valentino by Alessandro Michele, inspired by the Spring/Summer 2026 couture collection, at the Met Gala. Unlike last year, which saw a strong presence of African stars—including singers and authors, this year she stood alone, representing the entire continent on fashion’s biggest night.
