South African singer Tyla won the Best African Music Performance award for her song Push 2 Start at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. This is her second time winning this Grammy. She first won in 2024 for Water, making her the first artist to win this category twice since it started.

Tyla was up against several big African stars, including Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, who was nominated for Hope & Love, along with Nigeria’s Burna Boy (Love), Davido featuring Omah Lay (With You), and Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid (Gimme Dat).
