Big Brother Naija Lock Down Edition ended last Sunday, with 26-year-old rapper Laycon emerging as winner of the coveted 85M Naira grand prize. If you have been a fan of the show, chances are you’re already feeling some type of way. The show was filled with loads of drama, tension, tears and more drama from the weekly evictions. Surely, we’re already missing all this. One of the other things we’re definitely going to miss is Ebuka’s outfits during the Sunday eviction shows.
Ebuka Obi-uchendu, who is a Nigerian lawyer and host of the show, has been giving us mind-blowing style throughout season. Armed with his arsenal of some of Nigeria’s best menswear designers, he has had a show of his own. In this post I chart our best 10 looks of him this season.
This peach suit is from Ugomonye. It’s modern, with a military-vibe to it. The designer played with traditional elements as well, making the whole look uniquely appealing.
This grey tunic designed by Vanskere oozed massive boldness.
Brown isn’t so easy to style, but Ebuka is here to say otherwise. The silver blazer added a dazzle it. The suit is from @davidwej and @sl_clothing took care of the turtleneck shirt.
The black robe! This bead embellished black robe was no ordinary black outfit! The bead work was carefully and flawlessly hand-made, and took the team at Ugomonye 60 hours to finish! Was it worth it? Definitely!
The scarlet tunic. This rare color is trending lately and Ebuka’s designer definitely did an awesome job on it. They incorporated beadwork and embroidery. The outfit and shoes were made by @deco_d29 while the beads were from @lush_jewels.
The plum robe. This should be one of my favourite robes ever! @vanskere surely knows how to play with colors, matching plum with magenta and lilac. These shades of purple played out harmoniously.
The royal blue tunic. Just like the the color, this tunic made Ebuka look like royalty! The depth and intensity of the outfit was calmed by the lighter blue shirt and pants plus the cap which matches uniformly with the tunic. The design is from @atafo.official while the cap came from @ag_bama_caps.
When blue meets green! The suit from @atafo.official was pretty basic and simple but stunning too! The shoes definitely added a sparkle to it.
Unforgettable is this colourful tux. The sequin colour blocks were just everything, @atafo.official must have thought plain black would be too usual and went off to play with peach, blue, silver, red and green. The look deserved to be part of the finale show.
And here comes my favorite look. The striped silver and white suit. It was almost angelic! This suit from @atafo.official, was matched with a white turtleneck shirt from @sl_clothing and white shoes. The whole ensemble was uniquely unconventional.
