The Oscars Was A Stunning Red Carpet, But Only These Stars Really Impressed Us

By  |

We had a bunch of show-stopping looks from the Oscars, but a few stood out over the rest. This time round the Oscars was significantly more glamorous and eye catching than previous years, s let’s look at the stand out looks of the day:

Angella Basset:

Her crimson dress was stunning, but it’s the sleeves we were looking at! The Alberta Ferretti gown was a show stopping moment with the poofy sleeves and bow which made this look a present for fashion lovers everywhere. And look at her, she knows she looks good.

Regina King:

This silver purple number by Louis Vuitton is a stunner, and the devil’s in the details. According to the fashion house, the structured dress was made in over 140 hours with 62,000 sequins, 3,900 pale sparkling stones, 4,500 in darker tones, and 80 meters of chain stitching. The neckline is so beautiful and blends into the butterfly-esque sleeve. And the color of this gown, while pale, blends so perfectly with her cool tone skin!

H.E.R:

The singer-songwriter arrived on the red carpet in this purple ensemble by Dundas, and took home the Oscar for Best Original Song. Her look was an ode to Prince, who was known for almost always being decked in purple. The jumpsuit and cape combo were a fresh twist and the sheer design with shimmering embellishments just jumped at me and couldn’t let go! Obsessed!

Colman Domingo:

His was one of the looks that stole the show that night. The fuschia look with gold accessories was one of the most delighting looks of the night, as you might be well aware, around here we are bored by men who go on the red carpet in a regular ol’ black suit and white shirt. I’m even dosing at the thought. Colman came in living colour and we’re living for it!! The suit was by Versace.
