When my invitation to Mami Deb’s watch party came in, I gasped. Not because watch parties are unusual, but because of the detail. The message read like a formal society call — the House of Cleave season is calling. At that moment, I knew this would not be an ordinary evening.

On thursday night, a small circle of invited guests gathered at the rooftop of Mami Deb’s residence for a Regency-era themed watch party inspired by the world of Bridgerton. It was intimate, stylish and carefully curated.

And the guests did not disappoint.
Flowing gowns, gloves, corsets, soft curls and statement accessories filled the space as everyone embraced the theme.

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with cocktails courtesy of Tanqueray. With a drink in hand, conversations started easily. People admired each other’s outfits, took photos and eased into the evening while enjoying small bites. The rooftop décor added to the mood.

One of the most entertaining moments of the night came when Mami Deb introduced the “bachelors and diamonds of the season,” sending the room into laughter and playful reactions.
Fashion, of course, remained one of the highlights of the evening.
Among my best dressed was Stella Nantumbwe, who wore a beautiful look by ipigogo that captured the spirit of the theme effortlessly. The host herself, Mami Deb, was another standout in an elegant piece by Bonella_ug — fitting for the woman bringing everyone together.

As the evening went on, some guests danced while others stayed deep in conversation, cocktails still in hand. Eventually everyone gathered for the main event: watching an episode together.

For a few hours, the rooftop became its own little society gathering — stylish, warm and full of personality.
And if this is what the House of Cleave has planned for the season, we are certainly paying attention.
