COVID19 has affected the way we live, but the real impact of this is yet to be felt. Salons and beauty parlours, which we miss so much, shall reopen after lock down but the new health measures (i.e. sanitisers, face masks, gloves) put up might make the whole ‘salon experience’ less enjoyable. On the flip side, beauty parlours which are crowdy or not socially distanced might get shunned by consumers. This will ultimately push many consumers to do their hair, makeup and nails themselves at home. Just like they’ve been doing it during lock down.
The idea of you doing your own makeup isn’t something new. For many years, beauty and grooming have been very personal things. It’s only recently, with the blow up of makeup, when public walk-in beauty studios became a thing. Until we have a vaccine, or when this pandemic has been wiped out completely, you might have to continue doing your hair and makeup at home. And, if you can’t, you might have to be forced to learn.
