Last weekend, we were in Arua for the town’s biggest fashion event ‘Fashion Meets Beauty’ hosted by Sam Akuaku. It featured a jam packed fashion showcase from the town’s budding designers, but before that, all eyes were on the red carpet. As usual, we were on set to see who slayed and who played. Here’s fashion police’ take on some of the looks.
The Good
This looks well put together, the accessorizing is minimal which favours the print on the dress. The black lace popping up at the top almost ruined this look and girl, a little bit of makeup doesn’t hurt.
Dramatic print, dramatic sleeves and dramatic shoes! This was almost a disaster..
Without the makeup and hair, this was going to be an ordinary maxi dress.
She pretty much owned this look, and the jumpsuit fit her like a glove. This was so until this goth ‘black ink’ allover her body happened.
Graceful!
Loving this lace skirt. She’s showing skin tastefully…
Not sure about the print on the sandals but, this is chic!
I’ll pretend I didn’t see your shoes. The rest of the outfit, purse and hair were to die for.
The dress is so bridal, but is a breath of fresh air from all the prints all over the place.
The blue jeans look a tad cheap, but that doesn’t take much away from what you were trying to accomplish. Twin away girls.
This dress complements her skin tone.. I love everything about the look.
Throw that noisy choker away please!
Your tailor deserves a bonus!
Why did you let him wear a creased suit? Why?
Yet you looked this good! Shame on you girl…
One of the best looks of the evening!
The Bad
On the left, is that a rag you threw over? On the right, why are you standing next to a hideous looking gentleman?
This African print DIY project was an epic fail.. The cap doesn’t even fit..
Young lady, this wasn’t a high school party. The shoes and jacket need to be set ablaze asap..
There’s something off about the bodice of this dress…
This dress is so bad, you need a refund from the tailor.. The shoes are even worse…
The most boring dress in the history of red carpet style.. The posing didn’t even save the situation.
What do we have here? A blue matchy matchy disaster..
The shirt was a nice attempt, the rest was not. Collectively, it is a disaster.
Why are you wearing that hideous necklace? Throw it away
This is bad, a bucket hat…. Why?
When your stylist empowers you to look like a joke
These are obviously not couple goals! I don’t even know how to ‘unsee’ this..
The Weird
What trashy style is going on here? Girl bye…
This is as confusing as the look on his face!
But why?
Arua’s power puff girls have landed.. Trouble is, their original destination was disaster. We’re all wondering what they are doing here.
Fly away from here, please..
Not even theatrics could save Arua’s puff puff girl from this fashion disaster…
This is what to wear when you’re out to get embarrassed..
