The Fashion Reunion Party returns this June

It’s back! The biggest fashion party is back this June on the 12th at Club Silk. This will be it’s third year running. This is the only event in town where all up and coming designers showcase their latest offerings. Last year’s event had over 15 designers. Many of them have now grown into big brands.

Last year’s event also had it’s crazy show. City socialite Doreen Kabareebe announced that she was quitting modeling to join politics. It was on that event that she claimed she was walking for the last time. Clad in a skimpy white lace outfit, the model walked the runway amidst ululations and cheers. It’s no surprise that she’s still modeling like that never happened. She might as well model on this year’s event come June 12th.

Besides the drama, the event had a lot to offer. Designers such as Shuba put up what I would call an epic show. His were creations that were both wearable and unique. We hope to see more great work on the runway.

The fashion reunion party is a brain child of budding designer Flash Nakafeero. On this night is when she celebrates the birthday of her fashion brand Flash. What better way to celebrate it than with her fashion enthusiasts. She promises a bigger and better event this year.

With a fashion week on the calendar and a fashion party already confirmed, Kampala is slowing getting its fashion groove back. We just cannot wait.
