That ‘BALEMCYAGA’ Situation and All The Drama at The Hipipo Awards

Love drama? Here is a dramatic take on the most dramatic entertainment stories of the week, and bits from the previous week. 

BALEMCYAGA ?

Apparently our own fashionista Bettina Tiana was the victim of a duplicitous sale of a counterfeit Balenciaga shoe…if you choose to believe the victim part! Now analyzing what she actually wrote I see more bragging (about shopping in London) than astonishment or despair and also, what fashion savvy person doesn’t know the spelling of Balenciaga? Does Bettina need reading glasses? Apparently, she bought this duplicate at 2.5 million, huh!?  Ugandans went on to create #TweetLikeBettinah to poke fun at the situation. This was one ugly shoe disaster.

Spice Diana’s music banned from KFM?

In addition to her academic woes (32 scandal) and mediocre wig game, spice Diana’s bad days are far from over. During Freddie’s show on KFM, a caller requested Spice’s song only for Freddie to respond, “I can’t play any of Spice Diana’s songs, she’s still on a ban and none of her music is being played on KFM.” This left both the call and us stunned. In my opinion, she might not be making the kind of urban borough music Freddie plays for his audience or he has a personal issue.

Hipipo Awards what happened? 

This is one of those events on the Uganda entertainment calendar whose candle never really burned that bright but has managed to dwindle anyway. With the numerous claims of bias from previous editions, this year proved no different as fans disparaged Mary Bata’s win over ‘Tukigale’ by Carol Nantongo and Eddy Yawe to scoop the award for best band song; a category where apparently she didn’t even deserve a nomination (according to critics). This maybe could explain the absence of big artists like Juliana, Kenzo, Sheeba, Bebe cool, Chameleon, Cindy and Rema at the event.

Mysterious Keza

Speaking of Hipipo awards drama, one particular young lady clearly came to slay and break the internet. With a ponytail higher than her IQ, Keza flaunted her breasts in a sheer see-through top that left little to the imagination. Every man that took one look at her voluminous chest turned away quickly before any volatile body parts could rise and salute so she basically just stood around there clueless. No one wanted to be near her or even look like they knew her. I’m all here for people looking sexy, but girl if you are going to show up at an event looking like an overworked porn-star, remember Keza.

Donald Trump Jr Sex Scandal!

Where do I start with this? All the details a juicy! Trump Jr started pursuing Aubrey O’Day during and after her run on season 5 of “The Celebrity Apprentice”. The affair started in November 2011 and Aubrey (without naming Donald) intimated in her podcast, “Risk” about having an explosive sexual encounter in the bathroom. “I was walking through the hallways and I got pulled into this bathroom and he threw me up against the wall and looked at me for like two seconds and we just started making out like crazy and he had me like all over, on top of this, behind that, underneath this…” Huh? My jaw dropped.

O’Day also claimed that the duo had “intense and passionate” Skype sex and made plans for O’Day to visit him in New York. Apparently, Don told Aubrey, he was done with Vanessa (his wife) and mind you she was three months pregnant at the time. Well, this story (just like herpes) is the gift that keeps on giving.

Barbie Jay allegedly missing after Sex Scandal

Barbie Jay’s wife Nisha is in a panic after her hubby reportedly went missing following his sex scandal last week. “People make mistakes and I would want to admit that what my man did was just a mistake. Let him come home and we sort things out. I am ready to forgive him,” she cried out. In case you’ve forgotten, the famed singer was nabbed with a mystery girl having sex in the backseat of his car and was briefly detained at police. However, he’s been in hiding ever since his release. In my view, this is unnecessary drama. The young man should tuck his tail between the legs and return home quietly and pay for his indiscretions.
