Cate Ayellah, a style blogger, influencer and model, has been unveiled as the face of the first plus-size fashion week in Kampala.

Plus-size Fashion Week Festival Kampala derives from The Figure Bombshell’: a movement and revolution which emerged in 2016 on social-media and has been for the past 3 years active on social-media particularly Instagram.

‘The Figure Bombshell’ name was created as a positive way of identifying curvy and plus-size women in Uganda, Africa and beyond. “I wanted a name that was unique and beyond the surface of beauty, bearing in mind that the women The Figure Bombshell associates with are beyond their physical appearances and have more to offer society than just curves or looks”, says Doreen Faith, founder of @psfwfestkla

The festival is designed to unite women within the creative industries such as; fashion, hair, beauty and makeup for an expo experience.

The event is slated to hold on 6th Dec, 2019 at Skyz Hotel in Naguru.
