In celebration of her birthday today, Noor teamed up with Micky Designs and Matt Samuelz Photography on this ‘Egyptian Royalty’ inspired shoot.

Spiritual Significance of Ancient Egyptians Jewelry. Egyptians were deep believers in their jewelry’s spiritual significance. It was worn to ward off evil spirits, protect their wealth, as well as bring good luck. Certain colors, designs and materials were associated with supernatural powers and deities. Both men and women wore jewelry; earrings, necklaces, collars, rings, bracelets, and hair ornaments. Many examples are depicted on carvings and tomb paintings, but since the paintings were often done for wealthy families, the jewelry depicted was elaborate and expensive or created by the artists to show the taste and beauty of the deceased.
