Star Boy Wizkid Wins Best African Act at the MTV EMA Awards 2021

Wizkid aka Wizzy Baby aka Wizzy aka Star Boy snagged the Best African Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2021.

It’s been a year since Wizkid dropped his Made In Africa album with over 100 million streams on Apple Music alone. His recent collaboration with Tems (female Nigerian artist) on ‘Essence’ became the first Nigerian album to spend a year on Billboard World Album Charts.

The best African Act category of this year’s MTV EMA Awards had the likes of Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae and Focalistic.  The win comes after days after Wizkid scooped five nominations at the BET Soul Train Awards 2021.
