US rapper Saweetie graced the cover the 10 year anniversary issue of Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam. The ICY GRL wordsmith was draped in holographic, futuristic looks as she celebrated her ongoing journey in the music business, having gone from a college student rapping in her car to a widely successful rapper with a growing body of work.
On advice for younger girls:
“Always be confident and self-respecting. Do what you are passionate about non-stop, wherever you are. That makes life so much more fun,” Saweetie shared, “I doubted myself during my younger years. I always worry about what people think of me. Gradually, I don’t care about it anymore. That’s when my mental health was so much better.”
On Saweetie’s business vision:
“My goal is to create a solid business foundation, not just flashy media effects. I want to build a machine that works for decades. Maybe one day, my children and grandchildren will take over Icy’s business”
