Sheilah Gashumba showed up and showed out at last year’s ASFAs in a couple of gowns that left us speechless when she took on the hosting role, among her jaw-dropping wardrobe for the day was a one-of-a-kind piece by designer Ras Kasozi that was inspired by the Buganda culture.
Ras Kasozi had this to say about the gown:
In this gown we are trying to take you through the ascent Muganda woman from Busuuti as her fashion to mushroom as her food, the team led by @raskasozi drafted the design from the bark of a tree mainly known as mutuba tree, with a wrap-around made in kikoyi and embedded with cowrie-shell.
