Sylvia Owori opened its doors to their new outlet a couple of weeks ago. Situated at Pearl of Africa Hotel, the new boutique is part of the brand’s refocused image and strategy to serve their clientele better. Sylvia Owori, the creative director of the eponymous brand has been off the social scene for months, perhaps working behind scenes to refocus her brand.
Just like their flagship store at Garden City Mall, this new space is well curated with an offering of not just clothing, but also souvenirs and art pieces. The racks are filled with luxurious kaftans and an array of African prints on jackets, purses, and dresses. It also houses a fully fledged work-studio with tailors so orders for custom-made outfits can be made right there.
What stood out for me were the designer laptop bags from the brand’s popular ‘Africa My Heritage’ line. With a price range of 200k to 300k, you can carry your laptop in a designer bag made in Uganda.
Customer care – Fair
Prices – Good
Convenience – Good
Fitting space – Excellent
