After taking Kampala with her Vlog Forking Around Kampala, Lucy Smize has now spread her wings (and fork) to take Africa too with Forking Around Africa. Just like the former, the Vlog highlights travel, food and culture on the African Continent through visual storytelling. With Africa being the next frontier for compelling storytelling leveraging our tourism, diverse cultures and food, the content creator is poised to be front and center of it all.
She kicked off her journey around Africa in Kenya, exploring all the great things you must do, see, learn, and most importantly EAT when you travel there. See the review here or watch below.
For the launch of the Vlog, in true Lucy Smize style, the content creator opted for the chic option of treating her friends and a few influencers to a small getaway for a private viewing of the premiere episode.
The destination? Iteru House Resort in Jinja. Set in a sprawling backyard by River Nile, her guests got to feel the essence of escapism. There was no option to worry about what was happening at home, or what you were possibly missing out on, but just vibes. From a quaint cocktail bar with signature drinks, to mood lighting by the pool and everything in between, by the time the episode aired everyone was in the spirit of travel, letting loose and good food.
Present at the launch were Lucy’s friends; Anita Beryl, Rashidah of Her Fashion Box, Rachel Nalumu, Debbie and Cindy. Influencers; Hannat of the Food Library, Rebecca Nanjego, Brian and Boris from Tubayo Travel and nature photographer Buskago.
