Whilst dominating runways and fashion editorials for top tier fashion publications, Patricia Akello has been secretly creating a really huge project. During the past many weeks, she has been sharing teasers and snippets. 

The Ugandan supermodel has finally unveiled the project, and it’s Pakello, a swimwear brand. According to her, the burning passion for fashion inspired and motivated her to pursue a career in designing desirable, futuristic, timeless swimwear for every day women who desire to create bold fashion statements.

The brand produces pieces with a mix of  bold colours, in asymmetrical shapes. Each piece is named after one of the dreamy sandy beaches we all dream to vacation at. 

Akello is one of the most successful fashion models from Uganda, working internationally. Her big break came through when she got discovered by Joram Muzira of Joram Model Management. She then went on to have a successful career; featuring in magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vogue Ukraine, paper magazine, L’Officiel, and landing advertising campaigns for brands such as Estée lauder, M.A.C cosmetics, Fenty beauty by Rihanna, Bobbi Brown, Aveda and more.
