Oliver Nakakande to Represent Uganda at 2022 Edition of Miss Grand International

Beauty Queen and former Miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande is set to represent Uganda At the Miss Grand International pageant.

The beauty queen took to Instagram to announce the good news and captioned the picture, stating ” Another Grand opportunity has granted to me to represent mother land Uganda at the Prestigious @missgrandinternational. I want to use this platform to be a beacon of Hope and Ray of light to light as many candles as I can with the torch I have been entrusted with.”

OLIVER’S OBJECTIVES

•  Oliver has always been passionate about girl child education and through her foundation, ‘Oliver Nakakande Foundation’ she continues to bring awareness to human rights issues affecting girls and to echo the UN Sustainable Goals (SI)Gs) of gender equality. Quality education, good health and well-being and clean water and sanitation.

•   Oliver hopes to use this platform to promote gender equality and well being by empowering the girl child through education and skills development.

•   She believes this will create a strong foundation for the tight against gender based violence not only in Uganda but the world as a whole.

• Oliver Nakakande. Miss World Uganda 2019/20 is active on the international stage as a fashion model, motivational speaker and humanitarian. Oliver was born in Kampala, Uganda.

• She is passionate about empowering teenage mothers who have dropped out of school by

encouraging them to return to school being a firm believer in the power of education and an advocate for second chances.

• Oliver represented her country Uganda at the 69th Miss World; was best in her group’s head to head challenge, placed in the top 10 Top Model category (4th) and was the first Miss World Uganda to grace the Miss World Magazine Cover.

• Miss Grand International (M(il) is one of the world’s leading international beauty pageants under the corporation and sponsorship from governments and organizations that stand for the betterment of humanity.

• Participants, license holders and sponsors can participate locally, nationally and internationally to encourage education and create awareness about the different forms of violence humanity is facing.

Miss Grand International Beauty Pageant aims to be the beginning for the better life for all. The participants and of Miss Grand International Beauty Pageant will represent the answer to a call for the world to join the pageant’s campaign to STOP the violence that plagues our society.

• Miss Grand International 2022 will be the 10th anniversary edition of Miss Grand International pageant scheduled to be held on 25 October -‘022 at Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency  Indonesix Nguyen Tien of Vietnam will crown her successor at the end of the event.
