“My Mother is a Woman Like No Other” – Nahabwe Esther

I am so excited to have come across this on social media (Facebook) 2 days towards the deadline date, I checked my saving tin to rush to the café to do something I like, (writing about my mother). Thank you, satisfashion UG for arranging such opportunities. I can’t fail to participate in this because it’s the best and emotional story I can ever write about my Mother.

My name is Nahabwe Esther from Rukungiri, Western Region, Uganda, I am 26 years old and excited to be participating in this activity of celebrating mothers, I bet her to be #Motheroftheyear for the Ultimate Mother’s Day Giveaway because she deserves it.

To begin with, before my mother gave birth to me she had had a miscarriage. She quickly got pregnant and gave birth to me.  My mother severally felt sick for a long period of time, my daddy traveled from the village for work to meet my mother’s hospital bills. My mother played two roles as a father and mother, she took care of me and my siblings until we joined dad where he was working from. She worked on my dad’s fruit gardens for my dad to raise our fees and the bills. She has been there for all my school experience up to now that I am an adult.

She has taken care of people who aren’t even her blood. My mother is a woman like no other. She gave me a life, dressed me, held me, shouts at me, has taught me so many things including to pray, working hard, self-esteem and confidence but most importantly loves me unconditionally

She deserves the ultimate Mother’s Day Give away because she has never experienced such in her life and it would be the greatest gift for her for all she has gone through and done for our wellbeing.  Make my mother feel like a queen for one day.
