Muhoza Trivia Elle delivered an emotional speech at the Miss World 2026 Head-to-Head Challenge, sharing how witnessing her mother endure domestic violence shaped her passion for ending gender-based violence. She spoke about watching her mother suffer abuse and how seeing this as a young girl gave her a strong sense of purpose.
She turned that purpose into action through the ELLE-Cares Initiative, which creates school clubs focused on respect, love and equality. She also wrote a children’s book that teaches young people about kindness, equality and how to treat others. Through her work with the Miss Uganda Foundation, she also supported 30 women by helping them gain practical skills such as baking, cooking and shoemaking to promote financial independence.
Muhoza also helped create the Girl App (Guard, Alert and Liberate), which includes an SOS feature and an anonymous community where women can support and share their experiences. She is also the author of Spoiler Alert, You Survived, a book about growth and healing from trauma. Through these initiatives, Muhoza is using her platform to empower women, educate children and contribute to the fight against gender-based violence.
