KARROO, LAND OF THIRST a collection by South African based designer Lezanne Viviers was first presented in February (as part of the official Milan Fashion Week calendar) and more recently, at South African Fashion Week.

The collection is lensed through a series of landscape photographs, taken by Johannesburg-based clothing designer and artist (and founder/creative director of VIVIERS), on her road trips through South Africa.

The landscape images are incorporated into unique VIVIERS artworks, printed on a variety of natural and deadstock fabrics. These photographs are more deeply explored in the development of artisanal textiles and, ultimately, inspire the mood of the Fall/Winter 2023 collection – which is an exploration of the changing landscapes of South Africa, framed through an abundance of raw materials and beauty.
