Miss Uganda 2016 is Leah Kagasa

Uganda has a new beauty queen. Ms. Leah Kagasa is Miss Uganda 2016/17. She has been crowned at a glitzy event at Serena Kampala Hotel where 21 young ladies were vying for the crown. First runners-up is Simple Kyohairwe and second runners-up is Rita Ricky Mutoni.

Leah was also Miss Popularity and the crowd’s favourite.

She’ll be representing Uganda at Miss World later this year. She’s also the 26th winner of this crown. See the full list of Miss Uganda winners since 1967 here.
