Meet Satisfashion UG’s 26 Best-Dressed Women of 2018

2018 has been such a great year for fashion. From fashionistas continuing to embrace Ugandan fashion, to the rise and rise of celebrity style and of course, the ever evolving trend of red carpet style. Here at Satisfashion UG, we had no dull moment thanks to some of these women whose style choices kept us alive.

From Instagram, to the red carpet and the blogs, these are Satisfashion UG’s best dressed women of 2018.

Nadia Matovu

Mrs. Matovu is not one to mess with! She’s a mompreneur who has taken the year by storm with her upscale style curated by some of Uganda’s top designers.

2. Aaron Hilson

The style queen knows how to put anything together and make it look luxe. Although her style is simple, it’s uber sexy.

3. Bettinah Tianah

The TV personality is hands-down one of the best dressed women of 2018. Her body is basically a hot ticket, a dream for every designer to dress.

4. Vinka

The musician has a unique style that is representative of her personality and music. Her outfits are always dripping colour, funk and lots of sexy. Her life is basically a fashion show; from music videos, to Instagram and the red carpet.

5. Zari

The mother of five has never run out of ways to impress with her style. From Instagram, to the red carpet and even when she’s out there promoting Uganda’s tourism. In fact, even when she’s out in her office pretending to read something, she still manages to look chic.

6. Martha Kay

The comedian has had such a great year, as she transformed herself from an internet celebrity to a full blown fashionista. This meant making a slew of head-turning red carpet appearances.

7. Judith Heard

With Mrs. Heard, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to fashion. The socialite literally took New York one outfit at a time, and did the same when she got to Kigali and even here in Kampala.

8. Lamic Kirabo

This blogger knows how to put a spin to even the simplest of clothes. Now based in Paris, she struts the streets looking super fresh and stylish.

9. Lucy Bunyenyezi

Her smile is one for the history books, but her fashion comes in at a close second. She is known for her bold and bright colour choices, and of course her love for Ugandan and Rwandan fashion.

10. Sheilah Gashumba

This list would be incomplete without Miss Gashumba. Her petite frame does not stop her from wearing daring and dramatic frocks. To her, even when going to buy groceries, a fashion statement has to be made, and she has to have heels on. Has anyone seen Ms. Gashumba in flat shoes? What we’re sure of, is we’ve seen her in a hijab!

11. Lydia Jazmine

Ms. Jazmine is one of the stars that dominated the red carpet, thanks to her show-stopping ensembles. Her music video and on-stage style was even better.

12. Natasha Sinayobye

Ms. Sinayobye is one of those women who have built their celebrity around their style. Her custom Fatumah Asha red carpet gowns always land her on best-dressed lists.

13. Mwaj Ahmed

The enviably cool fashionista is known for her chic style on Instagram, but her red carpet style game topped the list this year.

14. Hawah Namawanda (@hauer_k)

Hawah is always documenting her insane style on Instagram, no wonder she ended up getting named Fashionista of the year at the 2018 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards.

15. Spice Diana

Spice Diana is fast becoming one of the most stylish women in Uganda.

16. Malaika Nnyanzi

Ms. Nnyanzi manages to always be well put-together. She’s one of the faces (and bodies) to look out for at every red carpet event.

17. Judithiana

Judithiana is in a class of her own. The TV star refuses to conform. She’s one to look to for style inspiration thanks to her expertly put- together ensembles.

18. Pia Pounds

Pia Pounds is not about to wait for the star to shine on her as a music artiste, she’s going to slay till we pay attention. There’s never a dull moment when she’s in the room, on stage, or when browsing her Instagram feed.

19. Sandra Lexy

She’s barely in Kampala, so we don’t see her much. But, her Instagram keeps us abreast of her impeccable style choices.

20. Tinah Brad

Mrs. Bradshaw, who happens to be a power stylist, stepped out of her comfort zone this year, switching glamorous gowns and dresses with dramatic flare pants and giant coats. It’s evident that she’s ahead of all of us in the style stakes.

21. Nina Roz

Nina Roz is never afraid to take risks, even when she’s performing at a venue deep down in Luwero. She’s going to wear a faux fur coat and sky-high heels.

22. Agatha Loswath

She’s been our plus-size style icon for a very long time. And probably is to many women out there.

23. Cate Ayellah

The fashion blogger has always been a stunner, but this year saw her unravel her edgy side which we’re loving.

24. Sham Tyra

The designer doesn’t just outfit her clients in eccentric dresses, she does the same for herself. And, she always does a good job.

25. Anita Fabiola

Anita Fabiola doesn’t have low-key style in her vocabulary, that’s why when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in France, famed designer Anita Beryl made a slew of gowns just for her to wear.
