Meet Pamela Hatega, The General Manager (UG) of Blu Flamingo Digital Africa

Pamela Hatega is the General Manager (UG) of Blu Flamingo Digital Africa. Blu Flamingo Digital Africa is Pan African digital marketing Agency that offers innovative digital marketing solutions to local and international clients. They have offices in Nairobi, Kigali, Lagos, South Africa and Kampala. Hatega leads their Ugandan team, which serves clients such as Centenary Bank, UBL, Airtel Uganda, and more. Her role as GM involves taking care of the day to day operations of the business, client relationship management and business development.

Prior to this, she was at Cheki Uganda,where she was in the marketing department. Before this, she had stints at Liquid Telecom, Scanad and TBWA\Limelight where she had various roles in the marketing and advertising departments.

Her first job was at Scanad then Lowe Scanad, where she was an Account Executive. “This job helped me learn how to juggle around multiple tasks having had the opportunity to work with clients from varying industries,” she recalls.

She describes her current position as her best job experience so far. “Working with the fantastic team at Blu Flamingo is so complex but so rewarding. Also, working with a digital solutions firm is an awesome experience because no one day is like the other. It keeps me on my toes and I love it!” She swears by the mantra ‘Do the right thing and all the rest will fall in place’.

She cherishes all the challenges that come with being a leader. “The best thing about leadership is the challenge to grow and be better – it’s very difficult to slip in to a comfort zone when you have the responsibility of “growing others”.
