Lucy Bunyenyezi Introduces Forking Around Africa

It is important to tell our own stories and share our experiences with the world in our own words. This is what Lucy Bunyenyezi more commonly known as Lucy Smize, is doing with her Forking Around series. It all started in Uganda with Forking around Kampala, but the content creator is taking the brand continental with her new instalment, Forking Around Africa.

This new chapter is meant to look at food, culture and lifestyle of people around the continent of Africa, getting a closer look into the hottest places for travellers to experience if ever they should land in those spaces. Lucy partnered with Hapa Pasasa, which as she explains, is a lifestyle brand which promotes fantastic experiences for people who like to enjoy life, and they tailored the itinerary that was used for the Kenya trip.

Lucy held a private viewing in Jinja, allowing a first look into the very first episode of the series, as well as her personal commentary on why it was so important. “I was motivated to share more about the African continent because I feel like Africa is every content creators dream destination,” she stated, “There’s so much to see and experience which is still a bit untapped.”

“We are also trying to be more eco-conscious with our model, as you saw in the segment about rebuilding the coral reefs,” she explains. In the video they explain how the life cycle of fish is reliant on the presence of coral reefs and how the Reefolution Foundation is helping to do just that.
